Someone looked at Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Mila Kunis and said: “yes, this looks like a Pokémon evolution line”… and the worst part is, it makes sense. On social media, people started putting together comparisons between celebrities who, because of their appearance, style, or vibe, seem like increasingly evolved versions of the same person.
The fun of it is that it’s not just about “looking a little alike”. It’s more that weird feeling of seeing them together and thinking they belong to the same visual family, as if one were the first stage, another the intermediate version, and the last one already came with more experience, more presence, and unlocked attacks.

They also put Michael Cera, Jesse Eisenberg and Andy Samberg as if they were Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise: the Hollywood version. And of course, at first it sounds absurd… until you see the comparison and can’t get it out of your head.

That’s when the internet did its thing. More examples, more theories, and more people putting together their own celebrity Pokédex started to appear, because there are combinations that seem like an inside joke until someone arranges them properly.

And well, it seems that now it won’t be enough to say “this celebrity looks like that other one”. Now we’re going to start thinking about which one is the first evolution… and who has already reached the final Pokémon form 👀
