The “miracle” of some Chileans at the World Cup: he traveled with his 15-year-old son without tickets and ended up in the VIP area with Haaland and Ødegaard 😱

Marcus Artzen is 15 years old, has a Chilean father and a Norwegian mother, and a love for football that made him travel from Oslo to the United States for the 2026 World Cup.

The problem: they had no tickets for the round-of-16 match between Brazil and Norway, and resale tickets cost a fortune they could not afford. 🎫

So they did what any fan would do without a plan: walk around New York with their hopes intact. Marcus was wearing the jersey of Andreas Schjelderup, his idol, when they ran into a man by the Hudson River who recognized it instantly: it was Jørn-Tommy Schjelderup, the footballer’s father. 🌊

Moved by the scene, he arranged VIP tickets through player Fredrik Aursnes. Marcus ended up watching Norway’s 2-1 win from an exclusive area at MetLife Stadium, and afterward went into the locker rooms to take photos with Haaland, Ødegaard, and the entire squad. Sometimes all it takes is a jersey and the desire to be there. ✨🇳🇴
