A tiny wooden shed perched on a steep cliff in the scenic Shiniuzhai region, in China’s Hunan province, has earned the nickname of “the country’s most inconvenient convenience store”.

The store, just two square meters in size and located at the astonishing height of 120 meters (394 feet) above the ground, offers drinks and light snacks to climbers who brave the mountain.

Shiniuzhai is known for its mountainous landscape and for being home to Haohan Qiao, or the “Brave Men’s Bridge”, which in 2015 became China’s first glass-bottom bridge.

Users have said: “It is very demanding for staff members”. The climb to the top takes approximately 90 minutes, and each climber can get a free bottle of water at the store, according to Song Huizhou, general manager of Shiniuzhai.
