It seemed that starring in one of the most anticipated films of the year and working with Christopher Nolan again would open every door in Hollywood. But, for Elliot Page, reality has been very different.
The actor from Juno and The Umbrella Academy revealed that, despite the success of The Odyssey, they still have not received offers for their next big role.
During an interview on the podcast On Film… With Kevin McCarthy, the host assumed that Page must have been receiving “a million calls” after appearing in Nolan’s film.
The response was unexpected: “No, Kevin, I’m not”.
Then, laughing, they issued a direct invitation to Hollywood: “If anyone wants to call me…”. They even joked that perhaps they are being rejected for being Canadian.
Page, 39, plays Sinon in The Odyssey, where they worked with Nolan again 16 years after Inception. The film also became one of the biggest cinematic hits of 2026.
But the actor assured that they still want to work and feel that they could currently do “some of my best work”.
They explained that during Inception they greatly enjoyed the experience, but personally felt uncomfortable. Now, they say they feel much more connected to themselves and their work in front of the camera.
For now, then, one of the most recognized actors of their generation continues to wait for the phone to ring.
And after The Odyssey, the question is why Hollywood still doesn’t have a new role for Elliot Page.
