The Spanish journalist posted a photo with Cristiano Ronaldo holding the championship belt, and another aboard a private jet alongside Georgina Rodríguez, who also posed with the trophy. That is where he dropped the line that set social media ablaze: “The only Argentine who was happy last Saturday”, in a clear reference to Edul’s defeat.
Georgina did not stay silent and responded to him affectionately in public. Edul, meanwhile, was booed when speaking in front of the crowd and ended his night by asking for a rematch next year. A fight that ended, without gloves, aboard the plane.
