At the Centro de Estudios Tecnológicos del Mar (CETMAR) No. 32, in Empalme, Mexico, students began to notice something strange: their personal items, money, and belongings were mysteriously disappearing inside the classroom. There were so many losses that no one knew what was happening anymore. So they decided to set up a hidden camera to catch the person responsible.
What they found was far more unexpected than they had imagined. In the video, which quickly went viral, a man can be seen taking advantage of the fact that the students were out of the classroom to search through backpacks and belongings. At one point, he stops when he hears a noise, but when he realizes no one came in, he continues rummaging around as if nothing had happened.
The person responsible was not a stranger, but their own Ethics and Values teacher. The school reported that the teacher was temporarily removed from his duties while the corresponding investigations are carried out. “We will not allow actions or conduct that violate the rights or dignity of students”, CETMAR stated.
