A chilling discovery shook South Africa after the disappearance of 59-year-old Gabriel Batista, who was swept away by a current while trying to cross a flooded bridge in Komatipoort. Police, suspecting the businessman had been devoured by a crocodile, used drones to locate the half-ton animal, which showed signs of having fed recently.

After putting the reptile down, Captain Johan Potgieter carried out a risky aerial maneuver to recover the body, revealing human remains in its stomach and, surprisingly, six pairs of shoes that did not belong to the victim. Authorities are now investigating whether the animal was a recurring predator in the area.

The decision to kill the animal has sparked intense debate between those seeking justice for the victims and those who question human intervention in its habitat. Do you think killing the animal is the right way to deal with this kind of tragedy?
