He said that being afraid of a pit bull because of its appearance is exactly the same as fearing someone because of their race or sexual orientation. He called it ‘canine racism’ and held nothing back: he described that attitude as ‘completely ridiculous’.
Bernthal went further and defended his own dogs as ‘the best’ and ‘honest,’ saying that the myth that pit bulls attack is ‘a huge load of nonsense.’ For him, the problem was never the breed, but how we raise and judge each animal. 🐕
