The reason why almost everyone at the 2026 World Cup is wearing fuchsia boots was not a deal between brands — it was a fashion consultancy that predicted it two years earlier 🩷

You watched the 2026 World Cup and something strange jumped out at you: almost all the players, regardless of national team or boot brand, are wearing the same electric fuchsia. A secret deal between Nike, Adidas and Puma? No. The answer is far more fascinating. ⚽🩷

Two years before the tournament, trend consultancy WGSN identified ‘Electric Fuchsia’ as the dominant color for spring/summer 2026. Pantone reached the same conclusion independently. Sports brands, which design their footwear several years in advance, took that forecast and launched their collections without knowing they would all do exactly the same thing: Nike with the ‘Breakout Pack’, Adidas with ‘Road to Glory’, Puma with the ‘Showtime Pack’ and Skechers with the ‘Sunset Pack’. The result was a massive coincidence with scientific logic: pink and green are complementary colors on the color wheel, generating the maximum possible contrast on the grass. 🌈

And in the middle of that fuchsia sea, there is only one major exception: Messi. Argentina’s ’10’ wears the Adidas F50 ‘El Último Tango’, a custom edition in white, sky blue and gold created to celebrate his 20 years with the brand and his six World Cups. When everyone dresses the same, standing out becomes the greatest sign of distinction. 🇦🇷✨
