At the New York premiere of “The Cycle of Love”, the 44-year-old actress told E! News that she isn’t sure she would love Nick Jonas if he hadn’t fully embraced the culture and traditions of India, her homeland. “I don’t know if I would love him if he hadn’t”, she said, making it clear that, for her, respect for each other’s roots is not a minor detail but the foundation of any multicultural relationship.
The couple has been married for nearly eight years, since they tied the knot in December 2018 in a wedding that blended Hindu and Western ceremonies. Chopra, who also served as executive producer of the film presented that evening, added another ingredient to the recipe for their relationship: being kind to your partner, something she says she practices every day with Nick.
