Drea de Matteo, 54, won an Emmy for playing Adriana in ‘The Sopranos.’ A few years later, she couldn’t get any agent to return her call.

It all started when she refused to get vaccinated against COVID-19. According to her own account, that refusal cost her her job, her representative, and nearly her home: she ended up accumulating a $75.000 dollar lien after problems with her mortgage.

In August 2023, she opened an OnlyFans account, encouraged by her own children, initially thinking of launching an uncensored podcast. But it was a bikini photo that changed everything.

De Matteo says that in 75 minutes she generated the exact amount of money needed to pay off the entire debt.

She tells it without shame, almost with pride: for her, it was ‘a political statement,’ a way of telling Hollywood that she no longer needed to depend on its rules to survive.

Today she finances her own projects with that income, the same income the industry that left her without work never wanted to give her.
