In the area of the corregimiento of Huisito, Colombia, a group of people decided to build an improvised dam to create an artificial pool where they could cool off, an idea that seemed harmless until the reservoir collapsed from one moment to the next while several were bathing, and the current swept one of the young men away with a violence that left everyone in a state of shock.
The water carried him several meters downstream, and for long minutes no one knew whether he had managed to get out alive or whether he had been dragged into more dangerous areas of the river.
Fortunately, and miraculously, the young man was found alive after being dragged several meters by the current, with bumps and bruises but conscious and out of danger, a happy ending that contrasts with other similar tragedies that have occurred in the region.
