Neymar will finally be at the 2026 World Cup. Brazil’s new coach, Carlo Ancelotti, confirmed his inclusion in the final list of 26 players for the next World Cup.

A fact that was celebrated by the entire country almost like another trophy, or even with the certainty that this was the key piece in trying to win its sixth World Cup title.

The call-up marks the forward’s return after years complicated by injuries and many doubts about his physical condition, but he was a name an entire country was hoping to hear.

Neymar’s presence was one of the big unknowns in Brazil. Since his serious knee injury in 2023, the attacker spent long periods off the pitch and even ended up being left out of some call-ups.

That said, the return of the Brazilian star will not come with special privileges. According to Spanish media, Ancelotti made it clear to him that he does not have a starting spot or the captaincy guaranteed.

Brazil will arrive at the World Cup with stars like Vinícius Júnior, Raphinha, and Endrick, but the focus will inevitably be on Neymar, who will probably play in his last World Cup while seeking to give Brazil the long-awaited sixth world title.
