Presley Gerber was 27 years old and struggled with something he never hid. On the night of Saturday, September 19, 2026, he voluntarily checked into a rehabilitation center in Santa Monica, seeking help once again for the addictions he had battled for more than a decade, but it was too late. The following morning, emergency services tried unsuccessfully to revive him.
The Santa Monica Police are investigating his death as a suspected overdose; however, the coroner has yet to determine the official cause.
However, behind the horrifying situation lies the pain of the loved ones mourning the loss. Just twenty-four hours after his death, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber were seen leaving their son’s home in Hollywood. Wearing a cap and dark sunglasses, she could barely conceal the weight of what she was carrying. “Cindy is heartbroken. She is completely devastated. This is the worst nightmare of any parent”, a source close to the family said.
Presley was the couple’s only son. His addiction had affected the entire family, but Cindy never left his side. In March, after a difficult treatment with ibogaine in Mexico, a substance that is not yet legal in the United States, she wrote to him: “You are a warrior. I’m so proud”.
