Louie stopped having access to hair ties two years ago. His owner had noticed that he used to eat them, and the veterinarian told her it was very dangerous, so she stopped using them.
But a year ago, something changed: the cat started vomiting from time to time after eating. Nothing constant, nothing alarming. He went to the bathroom without any problems and ate with the same appetite as always, so she thought it was simply just a cat thing.
Until the vomiting became daily and Louie woke up lethargic. At the emergency clinic, the diagnosis left everyone speechless: his stomach was holding 35 hair ties, accumulated who knows how long ago.
