Toilet paper never truly cleans. It only spreads around what was already there, even if you feel completely clean.
A study by Wake Forest University confirmed it: after using paper, fecal matter is still distributed on the skin. Wet wipes are not the perfect solution either, because their alcohol and fragrances end up irritating an area that is already delicate in itself.
Water, on the other hand, does not drag or spread anything around. That is why in Japan, South Korea, and Italy, the bidet stopped being a luxury and became part of the standard bathroom. Maybe it is time for you to consider it too 🚽
