Christian Parks was responding to a call in Burbank when he came across some puppies and couldn’t resist.
The city’s Police Department shared the photo on Instagram: the officer is holding a French bulldog, and the caption explains it simply: he petted him, hugged him, and took pictures with them. “Police officers love dogs”, the post said.
But the dog’s cuteness didn’t last long. The comments went straight to the officer, whom many users described as extraordinarily handsome. “Nobody’s looking at that dog”, one person wrote. Another chimed in: “Suddenly I need CPR”.
The post has racked up more than 600,000 “likes” and more than 9,000 comments. An image meant to show the police’s friendly side ended up featuring a star no one had expected.
