Floyd Mayweather once again boasted about his legacy and his enormous ability to generate money during an interview with The Pivot Podcast. The former champion said there is a big difference between being a good boxer and becoming a figure capable of filling stadiums and selling millions: “They are boxers, I am the box office. There is a difference”, he stated.
Mayweather also highlighted the multimillion-dollar figures he achieved during his career and maintained that few athletes in history have been able to generate similar income. For the American, his success was not limited to winning titles: he managed to turn each of his major fights into a global event and become a brand in his own right.
Beyond his usual provocative statements, Mayweather also showed a more emotional side during the interview as he remembered a close friend and assistant who passed away.
