In a church in Nigeria, a pastor promised his congregation something that no other religious promise usually includes: a return ticket.
The man, dressed in white, announced that he was going to ascend to heaven, visit paradise, and return safe and sound to tell them everything. His followers, including several women who could not take their eyes off him, raised their hands and saw him off as if he were truly leaving for the afterlife.
The video, which is circulating on social media, shows the exact moment when his feet stop touching the ground and his body begins to rise toward the temple ceiling by means of a cloth.
Everyone is wondering how the faithful can believe that he ascended when it was obvious he was using something to lift himself.
Meanwhile, the congregation apparently continues to await their pastor’s triumphant return, convinced that their faith has just undergone a video-recorded test.
