Moti Meghwal was only a few years old when people in his village of Churu, Rajasthan, started calling him an ‘alien’.
His features earned him constant taunts, the kind that would crush any child’s spirit. But instead of hiding, Moti did something no one expected: he picked up a camera and started recording himself. He uploaded his videos to Instagram using the same nickname they used to hurt him. He called himself Alien Star.
The taunts took a long time to stop. Those who laughed at him remained in the same place as always, while Moti built something enormous without almost anyone noticing. Today he has 1.2 million followers and a monthly reach of 500 million people across all his social networks. At just 13 years old, he turned what hurt the most into what defines him the most.
