We know little about what our body looks like on the inside. We have certainly seen infographics, drawings, thumbnails at the doctor’s office, but the real image is something else. Sometimes it is shocking. And if the body is very sick, even more so.
A fungus that infects our body is not pretty. It is terrifying. What we see in the photo corresponds to the condition of Candida esophagitis, and it is an infection produced by the fungus Candidiasis. The people most likely to contract it are those who have a weakened immune system, as often happens with those who suffer from HIV+/AIDS.
