“It makes me want to give them poisoned meat”: Pedro Sola sparked outrage on social media by saying he does not like “pet-friendly” places

Pedro Sola, host of Ventaneando, set social media ablaze with a remark that many pet owners will not forgive him for anytime soon.

He said, without holding back, that he finds it “an aberration” to have to put up with dogs on planes or in restaurants, and that if he came across one, he would ask to be moved to another seat. His words came just as Mexico is discussing new pet-friendly rules, which seek to allow pets access to more public spaces under certain safety conditions.

The response was immediate: users pointed out the difference between an ordinary pet and a service dog, and accused the host of exaggerating an issue that is a normal part of everyday life for many families. Tolerance or simply a lack of empathy?

🐶❤️ #NoAlMaltratoAnimal #RespetoAnimal #ManchateNews
