Fran Drescher and Peter Marc Jacobson met in high school as teenagers, began a relationship and married in 1978.
Years later, they created The Nanny together, the hit sitcom that defined the 90s, but their marriage ended in divorce in 1999. After they separated, Jacobson revealed to Drescher that he was gay.
Far from disappearing from each other’s lives, they managed to rebuild their relationship as friends and creative partners. They even transformed part of their own story into the series Happily Divorced. On October 1, 2026, 44 years after that photograph, they posed together again at the New York City Ballet Fall Gala. She was 69 and he was 68. ❤️
