The actor met Keely Shaye Smith in 1994 and they married in 2001. Since then, they have aged together in front of the cameras, and changes in her body have prompted comments for years that have little to do with their relationship.

In response to those criticisms, Brosnan has been attributed with a response in which he says that some people close to him even suggested that she undergo surgery to lose weight, something he rejected.
