On Monday morning, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), a private security and emergency response company, received two serious calls. Two residents of Mount Vernon, in Durban, South Africa, urgently needed help… they had seen a body lying beside a dirt road, wrapped in a white cloth.
The case seemed disturbing, but the agents and paramedics were in for a surprise when, upon arriving at the crime scene, the alleged “corpse” opened its eyes.
The motionless bundle on the embankment was nothing more and nothing less than a 26-year-old woman who was simply asleep. According to spokesperson Prem Balram, the emergency team stood there, unsure whether to laugh or remain concerned.
The woman refused to provide any further information and instead covered herself with the cloth and went back to sleep. After all… it was Monday.
