The flood of criticism soon descended on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, whom thousands of users accuse of being “sick and neglectful” parents for allowing a 13-year-old girl to alter her appearance in that way.
This alarming transformation is not an isolated incident. The list of excesses permitted in her upbringing is long: from a dangerous dermal piercing on her hand at 12 to disturbing videos imitating horror movies. While Kim Kardashian tries to camouflage her negligence under the label of “freedom of expression” and “unique style”, social media does not forgive. Users harshly claim that the girl is “completely lost” and that her parents prefer feeding the media spectacle rather than setting real boundaries.
