“They made him sleep on the couch”. This gorilla fought with his partner, got kicked out of the house, and was caught questioning marriage

Kiyomasa is 13 years old, lives at Higashiyama Zoo in Nagoya, Japan, and on June 9, 2026 starred in the most therapeutic video on the internet. His partner yelled him out of the den, chased him mercilessly, and he got out however he could.

Then came the moment that broke the internet: they found him sitting on the enclosure’s outdoor stairs, his head resting on one hand, staring into nothing, completely motionless. Like anyone who has just lost an argument and needs five minutes to process whether they’re right or whether they should just apologize already.

The video surpassed a million views in just a few hours, and the comments were an avalanche of “this gorilla is me”. By the way: Kiyomasa is the son of Shabani, the gorilla famous for being the most handsome in the world. Apparently, the gift for drama is hereditary too.
