Baby can no longer walk on her own.
This senior pit bull is living out her final months in hospice care at The Pittie Party of Central Florida shelter in St. Cloud. She suffers from an incurable neurodegenerative disease called NCL4A, and her only way to get around was a specialized pink wheelchair worth 800 dollars. On Saturday, August 22, someone approached the shelter’s porch and simply took it.
St. Cloud police opened an investigation and asked the community for help finding those responsible. Meanwhile, hundreds of people offered to donate money to replace the stolen wheelchair. There was no need: three days later, on August 25, the organization Ruck9 announced that it had already sent Baby a new wheelchair, also pink, so she could continue feeling the wind on her face for however many days she has left to live.
