Dustin Poirier didn’t need an octagon to challenge someone.
On June 21, 2026, the former UFC interim lightweight champion was removed from a Delta flight at the Atlanta airport for being intoxicated.
Officers found him yelling at employees. One of them, who recognized him immediately, had to draw his Taser so Poirier would accept the handcuffs without fighting.
What no one had seen until now is what happened next: 28 minutes of bodycam footage in which Poirier continues challenging the police officers and making threats during transport to jail.
Even when he was already detained, he managed to slip out of the handcuffs and move them to the front of his body, challenging the officers present at the facility.
The video was not made public until September, months after the arrest. Poirier has already apologized and said he is seeking help for alcohol.
