Shaye Scott grew up in St. George, Utah, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When she told her parents how she felt as a child, the response was neither a hug nor a question: it was a patriarchal blessing and the promise that God could save her.

Amanda says today that she feels more attracted to Shaye than at any other point in their more than 15 years together. Together, they have amassed more than one million followers while sharing that story.
