The Uruguay national team players had to line up on the sidewalk while a drug-sniffing dog smelled their luggage before the match against Saudi Arabia.
The images immediately went viral and divided social media. One side is furious: “They treat them like criminals; they are elite athletes representing their country”.
The other side sees it differently: “It’s a standard security protocol; it’s not personal or discriminatory, anyone goes through that”. 🐕
