One of the last photos of Channon Christian, 21, and Christopher Newsom, 23, was taken shortly before both of them experienced one of the most brutal crimes to occur in Knoxville, United States.
In January 2007, the couple were on a date when they were kidnapped during a carjacking and taken to a house on Chipman Street, where they endured days of physical torture and extreme abuse.
Christopher was killed first and his body appeared near some railroad tracks, while Channon was later found inside a trash bin at the home. In the case, Lemaricus Davidson, Letalvis Cobbins, George Thomas, Vanessa Coleman, and Eric Boyd were convicted, several of them with life sentences and others with the death penalty.
