On June 28, 2022, Laura Beck’s life changed forever in Virginia, United States. That morning, her husband Aaron Beck, 37, left for work, but forgot to drop off their 18-month-old son Anderson at daycare.

Three hours later, the child was found dead after remaining inside the car in high temperatures. Upon realizing what had happened, Aaron returned home and, consumed by grief, died that same day.

Laura, who was working when the tragedy occurred, was left as the only survivor of her immediate family. Since then, she turned her loss into a mission and created an initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of leaving children in vehicles, a type of accident that causes dozens of deaths in the United States every year.
