“This word, anti-aging, has to disappear”.
Jamie Lee Curtis said it bluntly during the Radically Reframing Aging summit, where she spoke with Maria Shriver about what it means to grow older. At 67, the star of Halloween isn’t talking about stopping time, but about embracing it: “I’m in favor of aging. I want to do it with intelligence, grace, dignity, and energy”.

For her film, Everything Everywhere All at Once, she asked for something that sounds almost rebellious in Hollywood: to show her body as it is. No prosthetics, no shapewear, no filters. She said that since she was 11, she had been sucking in her stomach to hide herself, and that in this role she let go of every muscle she used to disguise herself. “I’ve never felt so free”, she revealed.
Her message targets a multibillion-dollar industry that thrives on hiding what we are: concealers, shapewear, fillers, procedures. Her instruction to the team was clear: don’t cover anything up.
