The bond between a father and daughter can move mountains — or in this case, cross half a country. Li Bingdi, a college student in the city of Siping, told her father that the food at her university was “unhygienic” and lacked the comforting taste of home from Tianjin.

Without hesitation, the man quit his job and moved 900 kilometers away to open a small food stand near his daughter.
This gesture was far more than a simple whim. After losing Li’s mother, the two became each other’s only source of support. Her father learned how to cook fried rice and noodles not only to make a living, but also to make sure his daughter was eating well. “To me, my father’s love is as warm as the sun,” Li said emotionally.

What began as an act of parental care eventually turned into a local success story. After a difficult start, the food stand became so popular that long lines of students now gather there every day in search of that homemade flavor. It’s proof that when food is made with love, success often follows naturally.
