Tae Levi Um took out his phone, started the stopwatch, and recorded his cousin’s wedding in South Korea. The result: 25 minutes from start to finish.
The bride and groom promised each other eternal love, the parents spoke for about 10 minutes, and with the groom’s final song, the couple were already leaving. No party, no dancing until dawn. Several guests didn’t even wait for the final applause: they went straight to line up at the buffet, which in Korea completely replaces the celebration.
Behind this speed is a very Korean philosophy called ‘pali pali,’ doing everything quickly and without fuss. Many couples prefer to save that money and time to use later on a trip or in their new life together. An all-night party or a lightning-fast wedding? You decide which you’d prefer. 💍⏱️
@taelevium They say Korean weddings finish in under 30 mins. I’m here to test it. 💀
