Bárbara Hernández, a Chilean athlete specializing in open-water swimming and extreme-condition challenges, completed a double crossing of the Santa Catalina Channel in California after covering nearly 65 kilometers in 23 hours and 42 minutes.

After the challenge, she showed on social media what her face looked like, with very swollen lips, a visible bruise, and an irritated tongue from prolonged exposure to salt water.
