The universe of “The Conjuring” is gaining new faces. Garrett Wareing, remembered for “The Long Walk” and “Manifest”, was chosen to play a young Ed Warren in the prequel “The Conjuring: First Communion”, which has already begun filming, according to specialized outlet Dread Central.

Joining him will be Amanda Fix, an actress who appeared in “Orphan Black: Echoes” and “Lowlifes”, who will take on the role of Lorraine Warren in her younger years. Both will have to recreate the essence of the paranormal investigators who gave rise to the entire film saga, one of the most beloved roles among fans of the horror genre.

The project promises to explore the couple’s beginnings before they became the figures everyone knows, and the newly confirmed cast is already raising expectations about how they will manage to honor the original characters.
