Alan Markovitz, a Detroit businessman, did something not even the worst soap-opera heartbreak could imagine: he bought the house right next to his ex-wife’s. And he didn’t stop there. 🖕

He had a bronze hand made that was nearly 4 meters tall, with the middle finger raised high, pointing straight at the windows of the neighboring house. It cost him $7,000 dollars, and he even installed a spotlight so it could be seen at night. According to Lenka Tuohy, who says she is the ex-wife’s daughter, the obscene gesture was aimed at her mom’s new partner, with whom she had supposedly cheated on him during the marriage. “This is about him, about him not being a man”, Markovitz said.

The owner of three strip clubs and author of a book that will be turned into a Cinemax series ended up selling the statue and donating $5,000 dollars to an organization that helps homeless people in Detroit. “Turning a negative into a positive”, he wrote on Facebook himself.
