She spent 91 days connected to monitors in the neonatal intensive care unit, fighting for every breath. Today, nearly 7 months later, ReyLee still has the nickname the doctors and nurses in the NICU gave her: “feisty peanut”, something like “little fighter”, because of her personality despite her tiny size.
