One side black as night, the other white as snow. Right in the middle, with one little paw resting on its dad, this little puppy seems to have inherited its two parents’ coats in equal parts.

Experts explain that each puppy receives half of its DNA from the mother and half from the father, but the combination of those genes is different in each offspring. That’s why the same litter can have siblings with completely different colors, sizes, and even personalities.

Sometimes the mix is so perfect that it seems designed on purpose, even though in reality it’s pure genetic chance.

But be careful: even though the photo shoot is adorable, it seems the images were created with AI. What is true, though, is that there is a high possibility that a puppy could be born with these characteristics.
