Fatima Zaunbrecher is 34 years old and lives in Düsseldorf, Germany. A little over a year ago, she met Michael Olise on Instagram, when the Frenchman was still playing for Crystal Palace. The relationship ended before she knew she was pregnant.
Nine months later, Aaliyah Noor was born. Olise took a DNA test and confirmed that he was the father. But, according to the German newspaper Bild, the footballer —who now earns around 14 million euros a year at Bayern Munich— offered only between 600 and 836 dollars a month in child support.
Zaunbrecher did not remain silent: she went to the French courts demanding nearly 60,000 dollars a month. Olise’s representatives later increased the offer to 2,000 dollars, although they insist that he is seeking an amicable agreement and wants to avoid trial. The girl is only 20 months old and, while the lawyers negotiate the figures, her father has never wanted to meet her.
