With blue-gloved hands, the veterinarian slid the gel over her yellowish-green skin while the probe sought to confirm what everyone suspected: she was going to be a mother.
In the video, her owner can be heard asking whether they will be twins, to which the veterinarian replies that they will be triplets.
African bullfrogs can live for more than 15 years in captivity, grow up to 25 centimeters, and are known for their voracious appetite and surprisingly calm nature when they are cared for from a young age; for that reason, they have become increasingly popular exotic pets among those looking for something different from a dog or a cat.
Chopik’s owner has said that the frog’s favorite foods are small mice, crickets, and Madagascar cockroaches, and now that she is pregnant, she eats much more.
