Tim Curry, remembered for playing Pennywise in It and Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, died at the age of 80. Behind a career marked by unforgettable characters, the British actor led a much more private personal life and never married or had children.

In his memoirs, Vagabond, published in 2025, Curry revisited different stages of his life and his extensive artistic career. He also spoke about the years following the stroke he suffered in 2012, which required brain surgery and left lasting effects that affected his mobility.

Although he spent decades under the public eye, Curry kept his love life away from the spotlight. His close family included his nieces and nephews, but he never started a family of his own with a wife and children. He died at his Los Angeles residence on the night of Tuesday, August 25.
