In the film, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and set for release on October 22, Cruise plays Digger Rockwell, an oil magnate who inadvertently unleashes a global ecological crisis. The President of the United States, played by John Goodman, tasks him with saving the planet.
Iñárritu himself said that Cruise told him: “It took me 40 years to become this character”. Fans are already talking about a possible Oscar nomination, and you, would you recognize him on the street?
