Tom Pelphrey, 44, took the stage at the 2026 Emmys to accept the award for Best Supporting Actor for HBO’s ‘Task.’ It was his first statuette, after coming close years ago with ‘Ozark’.
He thanked God first and spoke about his sobriety. He mentioned Mark Ruffalo, his co-star in the series, and saved the most heartfelt words for last: he looked toward the audience and dedicated the moment to Kaley Cuoco, his partner, 40, who is pregnant with their second daughter. ‘My favorite actress in this room, my love, my best friend,’ he told her, adding that his family is ‘the crown jewel of my life.’
He also had words for Matilda, the daughter they already have together, and for the baby who has yet to be born. Cuoco, seated among the audience, could not hold back her tears as she listened to him.
