A 37-year-old millionaire tourist sparked outrage in Hawaii after throwing a huge rock at a defenseless monk seal that was resting peacefully on the beach. Witnesses were shocked to see him mock everyone while claiming that his money would save him from any trouble.

But what he did enraged the entire community.

The attacked seal was Lani, a beloved Hawaiian monk seal, a protected and endangered species. While some tried to help the animal, a local resident decided to confront the aggressor and ended up giving him a brutal beating that quickly went viral on social media.

However, the punishment was just beginning.

Hours later, federal agents arrested him for attacking a protected species, and the mayor of Maui publicly condemned the incident:

“These kinds of tourists are not welcome”.

Now the man faces fines of up to 50 thousand dollars and possible jail time for animal abuse and violating federal conservation laws.

Many in Hawaii say justice came quickly…
