In her mind, crossing over to the island was like crossing an ocean to another country. She told Alba Carrillo herself, amid awkward laughter, on the program ‘El Sótano Club’ on TEN Televisión, and the host was left speechless trying to process that someone with nearly 800,000 followers didn’t know that Ibiza is Spanish territory.
The joke revealed itself on an Ibiza terrace, when they tried to charge her in euros rather than in the bills she had brought in her backpack. Later, with the video circulating everywhere, Shannis came out to say that it had all been a joke. Many people didn’t believe her.
