Logan Brown had spent years building his masculinity. Testosterone, hormone therapy, his voice, his body—everything he had fought for so the world would see the man he was.
Then he had to stop treatment for health reasons. It was during that break, without looking for it, that he discovered he was pregnant.
Logan later said he felt that the masculinity he had built was erased all at once. It wasn’t a small fear: it was the feeling of losing, in an instant, what had cost him the most to gain.
He chose to move forward. In May 2023, Nova, his daughter, was born alongside his partner Bailey J Mills in Manchester, England. Logan was 27 years old.
He documented everything online under the name Up The Duff Man, and in June 2023 became the first trans man to appear on the cover of Glamour UK, Pride edition.
But the greatest achievement came later. In November 2023, he published “In My Daddy’s Belly”, a children’s book written for Nova, so that one day she could understand that her dad had a belly too.
That book didn’t exist when Logan needed it. So he wrote it himself.
In 2025, he won the Influencer of the Year award at the Gaydio Pride Awards. But the real prize was already on a bookshelf, waiting for Nova to learn to read.
