Tsunami did not always have a rescue vest. Before tracking through rubble in Caracas, this dog lived under abuse — without anyone imagining what he would become. 🐾

Jorge Beens, founder of the K-Sar Ecid Canine Teams Training Center, rescued him and put him through a recovery process and specialized training. What followed was extraordinary: Tsunami developed such precise olfactory ability that today he detects human traces where manual searches and technology fail.

In the middle of the emergency caused by the earthquakes that shook Venezuela, it was he who located a 60-year-old man trapped under the rubble in the San Bernardino neighborhood, in Caracas. 🏚️

A video that went viral shows Jorge and Tsunami exhausted, with their eyes almost closed from fatigue, but without stopping. Together, they rescue more than 13 people a day.

People are already asking for a monument to be made for them. And it is hard not to understand why: the dog who once needed someone to save him is today the only reason many are still alive. 🇻🇪❤️
